My favorite games right now are Rimworld and Cataclysm: DDA. I also play around a little bit with Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. I don't tend to play them to an end-state, I tend to lose interest once getting to the midgame haha. I don't have any long-running games.
I also like roguelike/lites. I've played a lot of Slay the Spire and Monster Train. Against the Storm is tailor-made for me. Timberborn gets to the midgame really easy and I lose sight of what I'm doing.
I'm also a fan of Zelda, and I used to be into open-world games though I don't play them so much any more. My mid-20s depression period was spent playing Skyrim for 10 hours a day.
