Hi! Trying to keep this a little vague because you shouldn't share all your personal information on the internet.
I was a passive participant in Web 1.0 when it was Hip, and I really enjoyed the days of StumbleUpon when I could just click and be redirected to a random, fun website.
Today I really enjoy finding random personal websites because I think they're neat. I don't tend to find too much of them, and a lot of them are from tech people, which is fine but I'm not super deep in the tech world. While centralization is convenient, some of the side effects do bother me. I don't like how unpersonalized everything is, and people tend to limit their personal expression because they want to get more views or followers or whatever. I also don't like how so many things are getting gatekept behind closed websites. Discord should not be a source for information about anything.
I'm not deeply knowledgable about a lot of things, but I feel like it's a good idea to participate in an active way to contribute to building a more curious, playful internet experience.
